Chip shot: This is a drill to improve your chip shot or “chip&run” shot around the green.
Lift your back foot heel during the stance and keep it like this throughout the whole swing of your chip shot.
It is a good drill to make sure that the weight is 60% on the front foot and 40% on the back foot as it should be in this type of shot so that the chip is not thin or fat. Practice this drill with a few balls and then put the heel back to the ground as we usually do for a golf shot.
It’s good and more effective to practice around the green by choosing a landing spot 2-3 meters near you and letting the ball roll to the hole. Choose the appropriate club according to the distance to the target. The closer the club the more the ball will roll.
